Sammantha Cree is an Australian ceramics artist specialising in wheel-thrown forms. She is currently living in London where she continues to produce handmade ceramics. Her practice explores the intricate relationship between form and function, inspired by the natural world of organic shapes and textures. Each piece reflects a dialogue between tradition and innovation, blending timeless techniques with contemporary aesthetics. 

She aims to create a harmonious balance between beauty and utility, to evoke a sense of connection, and to invite viewers to engage with each piece on a personal level. She strives for her work to serve not just as functional objects but as vessels for contemplation and emotional resonance.

Sammantha graduated with a Diploma in Ceramics from an Australian technical college in 2021 and has produced works for her brand scree.ceramics since 2017. She is a passionate teacher and has spent the last few years working as a studio technician in Sydney, Australia.
